If we were to summarize all that God wants you to do would be these two simple phrases:
The love of God and love people
But how to actually live that out? What is the best way to love people?
Once Jesus was talking to God and he said, "I I brought you glory on earth by completing the work I have to do "
So there are two important things I see in this sentence.
1. We are called to bring God's glory on this earth. Not only when we die.
2. We do this by "finished" work which has given us to do.
So how in the world do you know what the work that God has given you to do?
When you find what you enjoy doing and use what you are great to do to become a solution to the problem that God has called you to review, which is where its purpose, or what God wants you to do.
There are 4 steps or principles for finding your purpose:
1. Passion
2. Talent
3. Needs
4. Call
When these 4 cross is where you have been perfectly designed by God to make a big difference in the lives of people.
Passion
Passion is what you do that excites you. When you are involved in the thing you are passionate about that will wake you up faster than a cup of coffee! It gives you energy. Examples are endless passion. What would you like to help women hurt or would like to teach children, or it may be that love of work, or make money, or preaching, or whatever …..
Talent
Talents are things that become big all the time. God has given each person a specific set of gifts. Your talents are those things that people say they want to do like you and think they are crazy because it is so easier for you.
Needs
The purpose is always around to help people. So how to help people specifically? To find problems in the area you are passionate about and use their talents to solve these problems.
Call
There are literally thousands of things you could do with your life, but how close it down? This is where your relationship with God enters Ask what to do. That he really loves you will say what he wants to do.
Here is an example of how this works in the end:
I met a lady once who was passionate about alleviating suffering. But what was his talent? He was a research scientist. The need felt called to review aid to women unable to bear children. She began to research homeopathic remedies and developed a line of products to help these women out. This is what God has called us to do!
